Brazil has signed a contract to produce a coronavirus vaccine

Brazil has signed a contract to produce an experimental coronavirus vaccine developed by scientists at the University of Oxford. The contract value is 127 million dollars.

Vaccine research is in advanced stages. Tests on its effectiveness are carried out on a large scale. The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced that around 30 million vaccines will be produced by the end of the year.

In terms of the number of coronavirus infections, Brazil is second in the world after the United States. Over 2 million 600 thousand cases were registered in the USA. Over 128,000 people died. In Brazil, however, over 1 million 300,000 infections have been reported. Over 57 thousand people died.

The total number of cases worldwide exceeded 10 million. In total, over half a million people died. Over 5 and a half million people have recovered.
