The behavior of a Palestinian youth who intervened quickly to save a child was widely appreciated on the communication sites, while the authorities honored him for his behavior, which they described as “noble”.
Surveillance cameras monitored a woman who was parked on the side of the road in the city of Bethlehem, in the southern West Bank.
However, after checking the video, it became clear that her child, who had stuck her neck in the car window, almost suffocated.
It seems that the lady did not know what to do about this difficult situation.
Here, the young man, Ahmed Ali, rushed towards the car quickly and daringly, as he tried to open the window before breaking its glass with his palm, so that the child would escape from death, which seemed certain.
And on the communication sites, praise poured in for the young man’s behavior and praised what he had done.
The Palestinian Civil Defense honored Ahmed Ali, and wrote on his official Facebook page that the Civil Defense Commander, Major General Al-Abd Ibrahim honored the young man for his courage and daring in saving a child who had an unfortunate accident in the center of Bethlehem.
He emphasized that God’s providence was achieved through the intervention of the young man, Ahmed, at the crucial time, by breaking the windshield of a vehicle in which the child’s head was stuck, which exposed him to a moderate injury in his hand.
She challenged the Palestinian youth in an interview with local media, and said that he works in a flower shop in Bethlehem.
He added that he was in front of his store when he saw the sane child in the car window, while confusion dominated her mother, who could not extricate her.
He said that he first tried to free the girl by pulling on the window pane, and when he did not succeed he broke the pane with two blows.
He added that a minor injury consisted of 5 stitches in his palm, but this does not matter, stressing that “human life is precious.”
