A varied and attractive program, from concerts at the Christmas market to puppet shows for children and Christmas city tours, delights both young and old city center guests during Advent. As a cultural highlight, the Christmas Culture Week invites you to St. Blasii Cathedral until December 19th.

Children’s program
A notice: The entire children’s program is free.
Christmas workshop
Play and do crafts – there is something for every child between the ages of four and twelve in the Christmas workshop.

Monday and Sunday: Children play with high-quality wooden play equipment and discover board games together.
Tuesday and Friday: The little guests create Christmas postcards with greetings and photos under guidance.
Wednesday: Children can color candles in the candle workshop.
Thursday and Saturday: The children create enchanting Christmas crafts that they can take home and keep or give as gifts.

Puppet theater on Cathedral Square
Even very small children can immerse themselves in the world of fairy tales every day on Cathedral Square with a puppet show featuring Rudi the Reindeer and Santa Claus.

View from the town hall tower
With its height of 61 meters, the town hall tower offers an impressive panoramic view of the Lion City and the Braunschweig Christmas market.

Christmas city walk around the castle lion
Every year the city center is transformed into a Christmas wonderland. The walk leads through the wintry Lion City and ends at the Christmas market.
