Bratt looks forward to Stadium Series: ‘Cool with snow’

New Jersey Devils Swedish forward Jesper Bratt got a first look at what MetLife Stadium will look like when he and his teammates take on the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL Stadium Series on February 17th.

Bratt visited with Nico Hischier and Timo Meier, after which the trio were given a tour inside the arena, which is home to the NFL teams New York Jets and New York Giants. The arena was inaugurated in 2010 and is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just over 15 km from the Devils home Prudential Center and will also host the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Below are questions and answers with Bratt from Wednesday’s press conference.

What was it like to experience the arena up close?
– It was a lovely day today. We got the chance to walk around inside the arena and see how the changing rooms look and how everything will work around it. It was cool to see everything and now you can hardly wait for the match to start.

Was there anything that stood out a little extra?
– The size of the arena is the first thing that stands out. The dressing rooms are made for around 50 players instead of 20, so it’s a big difference. The sky was blue here today, and hopefully it will be the same type of weather when it comes time for us to play.
