Ryker Webb (4) was reported missing around 5 p.m. local time on Friday after playing with his dog in the yard. The area was searched with dogs, drones, helicopters, and boats.
However, hopes of a good outcome quickly declined: the temperature in the region dropped to four degrees on Saturday night. Thunderstorms and torrential rain also made it difficult to find the boy, and helicopters had to return because of “extremely bad weather,” the local sheriff said. Also, the vegetation in the area around a nearby lake made the search “extremely difficult.”
Finally, Ryker was found four kilometers from the scene of his disappearance, in his pajamas and with a bloody nose. “He was in a good mood and seemed healthy, although he was hungry, thirsty and hypothermic,” it sounded relieved.
