It’s been 15 years since the last time Mike Tyson was in a professional boxing match. In 2005 he was beaten out of the ring by Kevin McBride. It was only his eighth defeat out of 58 fights. He then hung up the boxing gloves and set about building a hash empire.

The Box-Champ is now 53 years old and looks back on an eventful life. His escapades and erroneous stories throughout his career are world famous. He is still feared for his incredible punch and killer instinct. And it seems that despite advanced age, Tyson still hasn’t had enough of boxing. On the contrary: he is even planning a comeback!

«I am a bad boy for life»
He underlines this with a training video that he posts on Instagram. Tyson does short punch drills with his trainer – and what for which ones! The American beats the pads with the force and speed of a 20-year-old. As a boxing oldie, Tyson is as terrifying as ever. The former heavyweight world champion is also aware of this. For the short training clip, he writes: “I am a bad boy for life.”

His power is no coincidence: «I do two hours of fitness training, one hour on the bike and another on the treadmill. Then I lift a few light weights with 300 repetitions, »Tyson explains in an interview. He does at least half an hour of boxing training a day.

Show fights for a good cause
But what does he train so ironly for? His main goal is show fights. These should go over a maximum of four rounds and serve for charitable purposes. “I want to raise money to help the homeless and drug addicts,” said Tyson.

Not everyone is excited about Tyson’s comeback plans. Ex-heavyweight world champion George Foreman cannot understand his plans. «Tyson has already done enough for boxing. He doesn’t have to do anything anymore. After all, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame and has proven that he was a powerful racket, »says Foreman. (jk)
