Bowing to Gibran, Will Party Chairmen Be Hostage?

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Senior politician and cultural figure, Eros Djarot, admitted that he couldn’t stop thinking that the general chairmen (Ketum) of parties should submit to Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

This will happen if candidate pair (Paslon) serial number 02 Prabowo-Gibran succeeds in becoming the winner in the 2024 presidential election.

As is known, in terms of age and educational level, Gibran is far below the party chairmen who supported him.

Eros admitted that he had no reason to express sentiments towards President Jokowi.

“I have no reason to feel against Mr. Jokowi, I’m fine with him,” said Eros, quoted from a YouTube account upload @Abraham Samad SPEAK UP (29/1/2024).

Eros said that when Jokowi was considered to be holding Indonesia hostage, according to him, this had become another problem.

“But once he took Indonesia hostage, for a moment, this wasn’t just a political issue anymore. It entered the realm of culture,” he said.

Eros then asked where the number one person in the Republic would take Indonesian culture.

“We really want to take our culture to where we want to go in ways like this. For example, this is dangerous, the system or pattern used to imprison quote unquote, chain people, take hostages,” he said.

“So the law is being used as a political tool. This is dangerous. This is a kind of ember in the husk. Aren’t those who are now being held hostage upset?” continued Eros.

According to Eros, the party chairmen who currently follow President Jokowi have not been able to express their opinions. But he believes there were times when they rebelled.
