Bournemouth vs Chelsea: Premier League Clash as Blues Look to Avoid Relegation Battle

Chelsea will be looking to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle when they visit Bournemouth this weekend.

The London giants have lost five of their last six Premier League games, including the previous four, and the Cherries could top them if they lose again.

Chelsea are not mathematically safe from relegation

The Blues are slipping down the table and need to do something to ensure they don’t end up with their worst league result since 1988, while a seventh successive defeat in all competitions would equal a club record.

Meanwhile, Gary O’Neil has proven everyone wrong and Bournemouth is all but certain for another year of top-flight football.

They have produced excellent form in 2023, winning six of their last nine to move out of the relegation zone and out of any danger.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea: What has been said?

Former Blues defenseman Jason Cundy can’t wait for the season to end.

Speaking to talkSPORT after Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal, he said: “I’m just accepting. I’m like a dog that has three legs, a bunch of fleas sitting in the corner accepting that he’s fat.

“We are a mess and we are up against a brilliant team at Arsenal.

“We are the worst team in the league, we are!”

“The best thing about this season is that it’s almost over.

“We’ve got Bournemouth at the weekend, it’s a triple relegation!”
