BOURGOGNE-FRANCHE-COMTÉ: Plüm Energy supplies 8,500 delivery points in the region with electricity

The supplier of renewable energy from French production takes stock of this deployment since a successful call for tenders, launched by the Syndicat Intercommunal d’Energies, d’Equipement et d’Environnement de la Nièvre.

Plüm Energie supplies the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region with electricity

The supplier Plüm Energy announces today (23 November 2021) that it has won a public call for tenders launched by the SIEEEN (Syndicat Intercommunal d’Energies, d’Equipement et d’Environnement de la Nièvre) as coordinator of a group supported by the eight departmental energy unions of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, for the supply of electricity to members of the latter.

Thus, since January 1, 2021 and for a period of 2 years, Plüm Energy supplies electricity to nearly 8,500 delivery points (buildings and public lighting) to 336 structures including 309 municipalities or communities of municipalities that have joined the purchasing group, in the departments of Côte d’Or, Doubs, Nièvre, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Yonne and Territoire de Belfort.

But that’s not all: in its strong desire to support regional players in their energy transition, Plüm Energy goes further and proactively offers a tool aimed at encouraging local authorities to subscribe to a green electricity offer, via a calculation of the (often low) annual additional cost that this implies. Via this public market, Plüm Énergie thus reinforces its presence in Burgundy-Comtoise, the supplier also supplying more than 1,300 individual customers in this region!

Bourgogne-Franche-Comté: the challenge of reduced and sustainable energy consumption …

Plüm Energie has been selected to supply electricity to nearly 8,500 delivery points (buildings and public lighting) throughout the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, following a call for tenders launched in May 2020 by the SIEEEN, and cut into two lots according to the electrical power. Plüm Energy’s offer, both qualitative and competitive, thus stood out from those offered by its competitors for one of the lots corresponding to all the sites of power less than or equal to 36 kilowatts, for a forecast volume of 64 GWh / year (equivalent to the energy needed to supply 16,000 homes). This contract, which began on January 1, 2021, is valid for a period of 2 years (until 12/31/2022).

Among the sites supplied by Plüm Énergie with electricity, municipal buildings such as schools, town halls or sports grounds … as well as the various infrastructures related to public lighting, such as lampposts, signage, surveillance cameras, etc.

The green wave of the 2020 municipal elections reveals a growing ecological awareness carried by the communities which must act and make the ecological transition in its various functions. Plüm Energy was able to quickly analyze the needs of local authorities to best support them in this project and establish itself as a green supplier. Tools have been proactively put in place, in particular in order to account for the low annual additional cost represented by a renewable energy supply (on average of around 1.2%). Thus, Plüm Énergie offered municipalities that are members of the grouping of orders led by the departmental energy unions a supply of green energy via a system of Guarantees of Origin which has been appreciated.

… and an even stronger territorial network for Plüm Energie!

“We are delighted with the confidence granted by SIEEEN and the other departmental energy unions in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. This supply is in line with Plüm Energie’s deep desire to support all French regions and communities in their energy transition. In addition to proving our ability to attract, both on the price factor and on the innovative services that we can offer our customers, this contract will also allow us to gain further notoriety with other groups of orders. »Explains Vincent Maillard, co-founder and president of Plüm energy.

“The supplier Plüm Energy was able to meet the requirements of the grouping of departmental energy unions in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region when responding to our call for tenders. It was particularly illustrated by a computer system allowing consumers to be as close as possible to the network operator. The supplier has been able to apply the group’s energy purchasing strategy, which today allows members to benefit from attractive tariffs for the supply of electricity. »Guy HOURCABIE, President of SIEEEN.

The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté market is the eighth public market won by the green supplier. Indeed, Plüm Energy already supplies certain large French cities and towns, like the City of Paris (with renewable electricity and biogas) or that of Annecy, as well as entire regions: Ile-de-France, the Center-Val de Loire, the Bouches-du-Rhône, Haute-Savoie and New-Aquitaine. Having thus become a benchmark player with local authorities and energy unions, Plüm Énergie should soon be awarded other public contracts.
