Peter Bosz took the lead in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday. The Dutch coach saw his team win 4-1 at home against 1899 Hoffenheim.

Early in the second half, Hoffenheim came back into the game via a beautifully placed shot to the top right corner from Christian Baumgartner. Five minutes later Florian Wirtz extended the lead with a marker and in injury time substitute Lucas Alario determined the final score from a penalty kick.

Hoffenheim ended the game with nine men due to red cards for Florian Grillitsch and Stefan Posch. Grillitsch got his second yellow card halfway through the second half and Posch was sent off eleven minutes before time.

Daley Sinkgraven played with Leverkusen until twenty minutes after the break. Melayro Bogarde remained on the bench at Hoffenheim.

Thanks to the win, Leverkusen takes over the lead from Bayern Munich, which lost points at FC Union Berlin on Saturday (1-1). Bosz’s team is one point ahead of ‘Der Rekordmeister’ and number three RB Leipzig, which won against Werder Bremen on Saturday (2-0). Hoffenheim can be found in twelfth place.
