According to VG’s experience, Vålerenga has been in talks with Torgeir Børven (30) about a possible transfer. He can thus be reunited with his old coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo.

According to VG’s information, the Oslo club has had talks with Børven’s agent, Kent Karlsen. Børven has also been physically present at Intility Arena on Tuesday.
This is not the first time Børven has visited Vålerenga, as the striker has trained with the club several times in the last six months.
VG has contacted Børven’s agent, Kent Karlsen, who has not responded to the inquiry. Vålerenga’s sports manager, Joacim Jonsson, writes the following in a text message, when asked if he has a comment: “As funny as I was as an expert, I am just as boring here.”
TV2 has also mentioned the possible transition. Børven is under contract with Turkish Gaziantep, with whom he signed a two-year agreement last summer. He has struggled a lot with injuries and scored 14 games and zero goals for Gaziantep in the 21/22 season.
The striker, however, had a far better season in 20/21, when he scored ten goals in 29 games for Ankaragücü. He came there after half a season for Rosenborg, where there were four goals in 14 games.
Before that time, Børven was two seasons in Odd, under the leadership of current Vålerenga coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo. The striker also played for the club from 2009 to 2012, and has a total of six seasons under the coach he can now be reunited with in Vålerenga.
In 2019, he became the top scorer in the elite series with Odd, with 21 goals for the club, which ended the year in a sour fourth place.
Børven got 43 games and scored 18 goals for Vålerenga in the season 12/13.
