Sevilla recovered a point from Germany in a game that had two clearly different sides. The first 30 minutes were clearly for the guests, who changed their image and got excited about the game. Nianzou’s goal gave hope. However, Bellingham’s draw brought them back to reality. In the second half the Germans dominate, but the score does not move.

Second part:

Borussia Dortmund came out dominating in the second half, but with less intensity. It was a game more of ball control and ball possession than the dizzy attacks of the first half. The Germans prove it with several dangerous actions such as a Sule shot and a Hummels header.

The clearest, however, is for a Sevilla who wins with a shot by Erik Lamela from the small area on a corner kick. The Argentine ran into Kobel’s exit and couldn’t avoid the big save. The farewell of Gio Reina and the decision by Sampaoli to leave Sevilla without strikers, make it possible to reverse the balance of the game towards the Germans. The accident ended with the injuries of Marcao and Meunier.

First part:

Another is Jorge Sampaoli’s Sevilla. The Andalusians came out with a lot of claw, typical of the Argentine coach. They were able to impress and impose their character against a Westfallen stadium that roared like never before. The Andalusians came out pressing high and creating a lot of danger on both flanks with En-Nesyri and Lamela having a lot of mobility. At 18 ‘they open the jar with a header from Nianzou.

They continued to play great football, but Borussia Dortmund woke up and did it hand in hand with their big star. Jude Bellingham kicked the move and nailed the 1-1 in the 35th minute after Meunier’s right-footed cross from mid-range. From then on the Germans were better, but Sevilla entered the counterattack alive and intact.

markers:

18 ‘(0-1) Nianzou: Ivan Rakitic center in the Borussia Dortmund area and shot at the near post by Sevilla central defender Nianzou after winning the jump over Bellingham.

35 ‘(1-1) Bellingham: Opening on the right wing, arrival of Meunier, cross from mid-height by the Belgian and forced shot by the English midfielder who creeps in after playing in Nianzou.
