Börse Express – New York Stocks: Record party on Wall Street thanks to the Democrats’ march through

Thanks to clear political conditions in Washington, important US stock indices rose significantly and reached highs on Thursday. A fresh boost came from unexpectedly good economic data.

Der US-Leitindex Dow Jones Industrial increased by 1.12 percent to 31,173.25 points and was thus at a record level. For the market-wide S&P 500 it went up by 1.51 percent to 3804.86 points. He too is currently moving at heights never seen before.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 jumped 2.14 percent to 12,893.59 points, but is still a bit short of its record level only reached on Monday. The Nasdaq Composite as another important technology index, however, jumped to a record high on Thursday and was also a good 2 percent plus recently.

Now that the US Democrats have also won Senate sovereignty, President-elect Joe Biden can now more easily implement and govern his political agenda, which is likely to provide for even more extensive economic aid with high investments in infrastructure.
