Borsa Italiana, the comment of the session of 6 February 2023

IntesaSanpaolo tries to rebound, after the sharp drop recorded in Friday’s session. Telecom Italia TIM remains among the protagonists at the FTSEMib

The major indices of Borsa Italiana and the main European financial centres they started the week in negative territoryor, with fractional markdowns.

At 09.10 the FTSEMib recorded a decrease of 0.33% to 26,861 points, while the FTSE Italia All Share lost 0.28%. Minus sign also for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (-0.23%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (-0,41%).

I major US stock indexes ended Friday’s session in negative territory. The Dow Jones recorded a fractional decline of 0.38% to 33,926 points, while the S&P500 lost 1.04% to 4,136 points. Worst performance for the Nasdaq (-1.59% at 12,007 points).

Positive start to the week Tokyo Stock Exchange. The Nikkei index finished the session up 0.67% to 27,694 points, after fluctuating between a low of 27,656 points and a high of 27,821 points.

Il bitcoin it is back below $23,000 (about 21,000 euros).

Lo spread Btp-Bund it stands at over 185 points, with the yield on the ten-year BTP returning to 4.1%.

L’euro it dropped below $1.08.

Focus on the titles of the banking sector.

Intesa Sanpaolo test the rebound (+1.38% to 2.416 euros)after the sharp decline recorded in Friday’s session, in the wake of the release of the budget data for the year 2022.

In fractional decline Enel (-0,11% a 5,356 euro). The electric giant has announced that the period of exclusivity for negotiations with the Greek company Public Power Corporation in relation to the potential sale of all the stakes held by the group in Romania has been extended until 28 February 2023.

Telecom Italia TIM remains among the protagonists at the FTSEMib, after the sharp rise last week. Shares in the phone company started the day with a 3.7% progress at 0.294 euros. According to what Il Sole24Ore reported over the weekend, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Macquarie are studying an alternative offer to the one presented by KKR for the Telecom Italia TIM network.
