Borneo FC part ways with Edson Araujo Tavares stare at the rolling again Shopee Liga 1 2020. Pesut Etam reached an agreement to part ways with the Brazilian coach.

The president of Borneo FC, Nabil Husein, announced the termination of the collaboration between the Brazilian coach, the Borneo FC team.

Brili Sanjaya, a spokesman for Borneo FC, Tuesday (11/08/2020) afternoon, told Deticom that there had been an agreement between team management and Edson Tavares to jointly end cooperation.

“There has been an agreement between Team President Nabil Husein and Edson Tavares to stop the collaboration and the Team President has also expressed his gratitude to the Brazilian coach,” said Brili.

Regarding the cause of the termination of cooperation between Borneo FC and Edson Tavares, Brili was reluctant to reveal.

“There is no problem, but at the moment there are several things that need to be discussed again and finally there has been a mutual agreement between management and the coach,” he explained.

“Thanks to Edson who has worked so hard together Borneo FC all this time. Good luck with his future career, “he added.

During his time as the architect for the Borneo FC squad, Edson had only accompanied the team three times against Persija Jakarta, Persela Lamongan and Persipura Jayapura.

Apart from Edson Tavares. Borneo FC also frees physical trainer, Humberto. As it is known, Edson Tavarez and Humberto are compatriots, both from Brazil.

Regarding the replacement coach Brili said that currently his party was exploring to bring in a new coach.

“Several names already exist, but we are still waiting for the outcome of the agreement between management and the new Borneo FC coach,” said Brili.

Currently, the training program for the Borneo FC squad is still ongoing, especially for the players who live in the Borneo FC mess.
“The players are still training and training is still led by assistant coach Amiruddin,” said Brili.

On schedule, Borneo FC will regroup on August 17, 2020, and players from outside Samarinda will immediately carry out quarantine and the first training will be carried out on August 28, 2020.

“For the agenda of going to Yogyakarta, it is not certain that we are still waiting for the decision of the new coach,” Brili concluded.
