Boris Johnson: Fiance gives birth to son

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiance Carrie Symonds have announced the birth of their child. Johnson’s office said that Symonds “gave birth to a healthy boy” in a London hospital this morning and that mother and child are doing well.

The 55-year-old and the 32-year-old announced in February that they were engaged and were expecting a child. The premier was first seen with Symonds earlier last year. The couple have resided in Downing Street, London, since taking office in July. Symonds is a former Conservative Party media consultant.

For Johnson, it’s at least the fifth child

Johnson is divorced twice, in 2018 he separated from Marina Wheeler, with whom he has four children, after around 25 years of marriage. He was said to have had several affairs during his marriage and is also said to have an illegitimate daughter.

For the last time there were offspring at Downing Street in 2010 when David Camerons Mrs. Samantha had a daughter. Previously got Tony Blair and his wife Cherie in 2000, while Blair was prime minister. Johnson’s wedding would be the first of an incumbent prime minister in 250 years.

It wasn’t until Monday that Johnson had the official business again taken overafter recovering from Covid 19 disease. The prime minister had spent a week in a London hospital because of the infection, including three nights in intensive care.
