LONDON, Jun 9 (Reuters) – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said it is too early to say whether the coronavirus restrictions in England may end on June 21, as data on whether the distribution is still being evaluated of the vaccine offers sufficient protection against the rapid spread of the Delta variant.
“On Monday… we’ll see where we are. I think what everyone can see very clearly is that cases are increasing, and in some cases hospitalizations are increasing, ”Johnson said Wednesday.
“What we have to assess is to what extent the vaccination campaign, which has been phenomenal, has generated protection in the population so that we can move on to the next phase. And that is what we will analyze ”.
