But let’s take it one after the other. Were you famous before you were born? Yes, this story will surely haunt the 22-year-old for the rest of his life. Supposedly conceived in a broom closet when her father Boris Becker was still married to ex-wife Barbara Becker and began a fatal affair with Anna’s mother Angela. In 2021 Boris Becker cleaned up the rumor, saying in an interview about the “Besenkammer” story: “I don’t know if a toilet is the better place, but it actually happened on the steps between the toilets.”

„Let’s Dance“-Candidate Anna Ermakova in Sorge

Enough of the old camels. In the meantime, Anna Ermakova has long stepped out of the shadow of her father’s fame. She emulates her mother and makes a career as a model. At the age of 14, Anna Ermakova signed a model contract with a Hamburg agency. In January 2015, she made her acclaimed debut at Fashion Week in Berlin, where she walked for the Riani label. In 2016, she landed her first major promotional deal: Anna Ermakova became the face of Buffalo’s spring/summer collection.

Most recently, the “Let’s Dance” candidate studied art history at the renowned Courtauld Institute of Art in London. “I’ve always wanted the time and opportunity to learn to dance in a professional way and now that I’ve completed my studies I feel like it’s the right time. I know it’s going to be tough, but I’m looking forward to the challenge!” reveals Anna Ermakova.

Anna Ermakova is learning extra German for “Let’s Dance”.

And: “I am very happy to rediscover my long-lost passion. I’ve never danced professionally but always dreamed of it, so I’m looking forward to this opportunity.”

But the biggest challenge for the Englishwoman might not be dancing. Her preparations for the show are really very special: she is diligently learning German! Your biggest fear of the live shows? “I’m worried about performing in front of an audience and messing up my German,” revealed the 22-year-old recently.

Let’s start with the new season “Let’s Dance” on February 17 at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. Then it will also be revealed with which dance professionals the candidates will fight for weekly advancement in the next few weeks and maybe even months.
