Ancona, 1 October 2021 – Third dose in Marche: it’s the turn of the over 80s. From 30 September, it is possible to administer one dose booster of vaccine also to people over eighty (born in 1941 and earlier, about 111,000 people in the Walk) that they have already received the two doses of the vaccine (or single dose if Janssen) with the second dose performed at least 6 months before.
The reservation for this administration will be active gives Monday 4th October and it will be possible to do it by logging in to the Marche Region website O to the Poste Italia portal dedicated to the SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. The administration of the booster dose will start from the next day, Tuesday 6 October, at all vaccination points.
The third dose will be done exclusively with Pfizer or Moderna m-RNA vaccines regardless of any type of vaccine previously administered. Obviously it is always possible and it is strongly recommended to administer the first vaccination dose for those who have not yet intended to start the vaccination process (about 3% of the total audience of over 80 years old).
From Monday 20 September, meanwhile, it was started the administration of dose additional of the anti Covid-19 vaccination to some priority categories of the population, namely the fragile subjects. This dose can be done after at least 28 days from the last.
From September 28, in advance of the other regions, subject to the authorization of the commissioner, the Marche Region had then started vaccination with the administration of the third dose in RSA, public and private, for both users and staff, for a total target population of over 9,000 subjects.
