Burnt-out
Such was in Bon Jovi from 1983 to 1994 and played on hits like Livin’ on a prayer. The bassist thought it was getting too much and felt “burned out,” he said in an interview with the Asbury Park Press newspaper in 2000.
“It felt like work and I didn’t want to work. The reason I ever wanted to be in a band was because I didn’t want to work.”
Such briefly returned to the band in 2018, when Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
