In 2022, for several months, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) rolled a rocket from the hangar to the launch pad and back. Several times when trying to refuel there were fuel leaks.
Wilson Aerospace is suing Boeing. The large 74-page document states that Boeing is accused of stealing intellectual property between 2014 and 2016. In particular, we are talking about the design of wrenches.
The plaintiff alleges that the Boeing specialists received all the documentation on the tools, after which they decided to break off the relationship. Since Boeing was unable to accurately recreate the keys from the stolen documents, this led to defects in the SLS rocket and could potentially lead to more serious consequences.
In addition, Wilson Aerospace said that Boeing used these instruments on the International Space Station, putting the lives of astronauts at risk. The company’s lawyer is sure that there are other firms from which Boeing “borrowed” intellectual property.
