BOE suspends production of screens for the iPhone 13

Apple recently closed an agreement with BOE for the production of the new screens that will be found on the iPhone 14. However, it seems that the company had to put on hold the delivery of some OLED screens used on the iPhone 13, according to some sources.

According to the portal The Elec, production of OLED screens for the iPhone 13 has been on pause since mid-February. The reason for this lies in a change that would have been made on the circuits used in the panels and of which Apple has not been notified.

Apparently, the circuit change would have been carried out since BOE has been having problems finding some semiconductors used in the scheme that Apple presented to the company. As such, it decided to carry out the circuit change, but did not notify Apple of such a measure.

Not many details are known regarding the changes made, but sources close to the company say that this change should not affect the relationship between BOE and Apple or future contracts. In addition, despite being a change, it is not believed to have a direct impact on the devices of users that use the new display circuit.

So far both BOE and Apple have left no comment on the matter.
