Bodhi (12) finds surprise thanks to an attentive tram driver

12-year-old Bodhi came home sad after school when he found out that he had left his surprise on tram 5. Mother Maaike therefore made an appeal to the Facebook group Amsterdam Dare To Ask. That was seen by the tram driver, so that Bodhi had his surprise back in his possession that same evening.

‘I still wanted to go to the GVB’s found objects, but then I thought of the Amsterdam Dare To Ask group on Facebook and decided to make an appeal,’ says Maaike Hoffstedde, Bodhi’s mother. Not long after that, she caught it. “Within 7 minutes, the tram driver himself responded and said he had found Bodhi’s surprise.”

Fortunately for Bodhi, because he was very satisfied with his Arcade surprise. “He likes Pacman very much, so I think the maker of the surprise knows him very well.” Still, Maaike has an idea why Bodhi forgot his surprise. ‘He loves public transport and knows all the stops that pass by. Probably he got so absorbed in it that he forgot about it. ‘

So the 12-year-old student has not been sad for a long time. “Bodhi was very happy and also liked that a tram driver had found it.” The two immediately got on their bikes to pick up the surprise. “My son just missed out on the tram driver.”
