The new president of the special delegation of the commune of Bobo-Dioulasso has taken office. He was installed on November 10, 2023 by the new secretary general of the Hauts-Bassins region who had also just been installed the same day. It was during a ceremony for this purpose at the residence of the governor of Hauts-Bassins.
” There is a time for everything. A time to come and another time to go.” It is on these terms among others that the now ex-communal PDS of Bobo and High Commissioner of Houet, Adama Bidiga, hands over to Koutoukou Laurent Kontogom after 15 months and 14 days in these positions. It was an opportunity for him to take stock of his visit while recognizing that there is still work to be done in the town. For this, he says that the populations can count on his successor.
To whom, Adama Bidiga was full of praise and to whom he wished a welcome and a good mission. Koutoukou Laurent Kontogom, for his part, immediately greeted and thanked the highest authorities for the trust placed in him. He is committed to continuing the works of his predecessor and to bringing this extra to the construction of the province of Houet and the commune of Bobo.
Shortly before, it was the new secretary general of the Hauts-Bassins region, Yiyé Abraham Somdo, who was installed in his new position by the Governor, Mariama Konaté/Gnanou. He says he measures the scale of the task and the weight of responsibilities in light of the challenges to be met. “I make a commitment to know how to get help from all of you”, he says.

Difficulties will not be lacking, however, but we must remain focused on the essential, she adds. The Governor also praised the work done by the former PDS at the head of the Houet province and the commune of Bobo-Dioulasso.
