It is well known that style is the subjective domain par excellence. Another controversial subject is habitability. When you sit inside a 4.53 m sedan, you expect to enjoy roominess worthy of the name. This is not really the case. Legroom is ok but the central square is penalized by an imposing transmission tunnel. But the main complaint comes from the roof guard. If you measure more than 1.75 m, you cannot keep your head straight at the risk of touching the roof. A Mercedes CLA does better in this area. Same observation for the trunk. It offers a loading volume of 430 liters, 50 liters more than the Series 1. The CLA is more generous with 460 liters, but beware, these 30 liters less, are also due to a shorter length, which which explains this difference.

In the passenger compartment, the differences with the Series 1 are slight since it is exactly the same dashboard, itself very close to that of the last Series 3, always slightly oriented towards the driver. It is characterized by a multimedia screen that can reach 10 inches while the instrumentation can be 100% digital with a basic graphic and not necessarily very clear. The presentation may seem traditional but the quality of the materials is impeccable.
