Bloop, bloop and bloop: NASA has released the sound of a meteorite crashing on Mars

In the recording, as noted by the space agency, you can distinguish three “bloops” – very low sounds, reminiscent of a stone hitting the water.

They accompany every phase of the “death” of a celestial body. In particular, the entry into the atmosphere of Mars, the subsequent rupture into several parts and their collision with the surface of the Red Planet.

The moment was recorded by the Nasa InSight lander on September 5, 2021.

On Earth, this can be found in deserts, when, after sunset, some of the heat is retained by the atmosphere and sound waves of different frequencies pass through it at different speeds.

Consequently, the low sound is heard before the high sound. Near the crash site, it will feel more like cotton, and for those far from where the celestial body fell, the bass sounds, the infamous “gurgling,” will come sooner.
