Blind Indonesian Singer Receives Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent

A blind Indonesian woman dazzled the judges and the audience alike with her audition for “America’s Got TalentWith her professional performance, after she sang with great feeling on stage, she was able to get the “Golden Buzzer”.

After Putri Aryani, 17, first sang one of her own songs, celebrity host and judge Simon Cowell asked her to sing another one.

Aryani, a veiled young woman, chose the song of the famous singer Elton John, “Sorry, it seems like the hardest word,” and her performance excited the audience, some of whom were moved and cried after it ended.

This prompted Cowell to press the “golden buzzer”, according to which competitors are nominated for live performances, amid a warm welcome from the audience, who applauded a lot for the young talent.

While Cowell described Aryani’s voice as “distinguished,” while the show’s other judge, Howie Mandel, said, “A lot of people don’t believe in angels, and I think one of them just landed on our stage…you’re a star.”

According to NBC, which shows episodes of the show, Aryani told the judges before her dazzling performance that her dream is to start her own singing career, and hopes to one day become a Grammy-winning singer like Whitney Houston.
