Elizabeth Jaworowiczwhich is said to be in Woronicza “unsinkable”, is one of the most popular TVP stars. The “Case for a Reporter” program, which has been running for four decades, has almost 900 episodes.
Journalist – although loved by TV viewers and awarded many times (including Superwiktor and Telekamera 25th Anniversary) – however, there has been no good press for years. She is accused of unreliability, manipulation of facts, lack of objectivity and betrayal of professional ethics.
In 2008, her colleagues in Kraków awarded her the Anti-Award of Journalists, and in 2010, the Stop Unreliable Association was founded by people deceived or harmed by the “Case for the Reporter” and Elżbieta Jaworowicz.
The TVP star lost several civil lawsuits and had to apologize to her “victims”he also has a high-profile criminal case behind him, which ended with a verdict for “attacking” a former MP and two-time candidate for the office of President of the Republic of Poland, journalist and columnist Leszek Bubel.

On July 26, 2017, in the corridor of the building of the District Court for Warsaw-Mokotów, a fight broke out between Elżbieta Jaworowicz and Leszek Bubel, who had previously sued the journalist for “misrepresentation and falsification of facts”. The meeting in court ended with a scuffle and a scuffle, during which Bubel was kicked by the TVP star, which was enough for him to sue her for … beating.

Bubel also complained to the Media Ethics Council about the behavior of the hostess of “Cases for a reporter”, but it did not deal with the case because it considered that the event described in the complaint as “calling, abuse and kicking” did not take place on TVP, so it is not her refers to.
The verdict, which was handed down on September 13, 2019, only seemingly ended the dispute between Elżbieta Jaworowicz and Leszek Bubel. The man has not forgiven the journalist for kicking him and calling him a zero.

Leszek Bubel – a journalist and politician who calls himself “the chief anti-Semite of the Republic of Poland” (he published the book “How to recognize a Jew” and several collections of jokes about Jews) – he was a guest in “Case for a reporter” many times at the invitation of… Elżbieta Jaworowicz. After one of his visits to the TVP studio, he recorded and published a video on YouTube, in which he shared his views on the program.
“I have witnessed in over 20 programs how these programs are created and how they are later cut, cut and what is shown to the viewer, naive and shaped by her attitude of a woman who really bends over human misfortune. This is not true, ladies and gentlemen. This is rude and very simple woman,” he said.

“This program is full of falsehood, distortion of facts, making the heroes real criminals, counterfeiters. (…) No one has the courage to look deeper into the backstage of the “Case for a reporter” program and Jaworowicz does what he wants to this simple woman with such bazaar , communal manners, her head turned in the salons of the capital “- he added.
Bubel even set up the website “jaworowiczklamie.pl” (not currently active) and appealed to people “wronged” by the journalist to contact him and support his postulate calling on the authorities of Telewizja Polska to liquidate “socially harmful program” led by Elżbieta Jaworowicz.
The hostess of “Cases for a reporter” adopted the principle many years ago that she does not comment on the “revelations” spread about her by haters with Leszek Bubel at the forefront. When asked for a comment, she refers those who ask about Bubel to … TVP lawyers.
Jaworowicz is not thinking about retirement. TVP bosses will make a decision for her?
Elizabeth Jaworowicz he has been running the “Case for a Reporter” since 1984 and, although she has long since reached retirement age (March 31, she will be 77 years old), she has no intention of leaving television.

It is no secret that for some time Elżbieta Jaworowicz has not personally carried out all the reports and is only the hostess of the program.
The TVP Information Center even issued a statement on this matter, in which we read that “situations when people cooperating with the editorial office prepare materials in the field are practiced”.
Unfortunately, “A Case for a Reporter” loses viewers every year.
“The once cult “Case for a reporter” is today more than a harmless relic. In recent years, it has turned into a program that could be used as an example to discuss the issue of lack of journalistic ethics. (…) Elżbieta Jaworowicz from the iron lady of the fourth power turned into an aunt following family and neighborly conflicts,” Helena Łygas recently wrote on the naTemat.pl portal.
The new president of TVP is not a fan of Jaworowicz. Black clouds over the star
Elżbieta Jaworowicz assures officiallythat she doesn’t care about criticism and… doesn’t feel threatened. It survived the political transformation in Woronicza and over 20 station presidents (it started under the rule of president Maciej Szczepański).
Lately, Woronicza is getting louder and louder it is said that her position in the station is not so strong anymore. President Jacek Kurski was a great fan of the journalist, which apparently cannot be said about the current one.
Will the recent problems and scandals involving Jaworowicz, including the court’s verdict, cause her to say goodbye to TVP? She won’t make that decision on her own.
Some time ago, she announced that she would only think about retirement when her health stopped being good and viewers no longer wanted to watch her.
“I still feel needed and for now, knock on wood, I don’t have any major health problems” – she told “Tele Tygodnio”, which awarded her with the Telekamera of the 25th anniversary less than a year ago.
