HANOVER – The long-awaited epilogue of the new edition of Tractor of the Year 2024 (TotY) was recently celebrated, the prestigious award that honors the most innovative tractors on the European market, now in its twenty-fifth edition. For the fourth consecutive year, BKT has continued to demonstrate its commitment as the main sponsor of this coveted award.
The awards ceremony took place today at Agritechnica, the important international exhibition of agricultural machinery. Twenty-five judges, expert journalists in the agricultural mechanization sector from specialized magazines from all over Europe, dedicated a year to the study, observation and analysis of the most innovative and high-performance tractors available on the market.
In order to best represent the agricultural tractor market, the award is divided into 4 distinct categories: Tractor of the Year, dedicated to open field tractors without restrictions, Best Utility, reserved for company multi-purpose vehicles with four-cylinder engines, power between 70 and 150 horsepower, and maximum operating weight 10,500 kg; Best of Specialized, for tractors suitable for orchards, vineyards, mountains and hills, and finally Sustainable TotY, awarded to one of the 5 finalists previously selected among the finalists of the three main categories, which rewards the most innovative tractor in terms of environmental impact.
The selection began with the Let The Challenge Begin event, where the manufacturers officially presented their proposals, while the month of September saw the jury busy with field tests.
The proclamation, which took place today, saw the triumph of:
– Tractor of the Year 2024: Class Xerion 12.650 Terra Trac
– Best Utility 2024: McCormick X5 P3-Drive
– Best of Specialized 2024: Landini Rex 4-120 GT RoboShift Dynamic
– Sustainable TotY 2024: Fendt e107 V Vario
