Bizarre plottwist ná finale Prince Charming | Tv thermometer

The highly anticipated Prince Charming finale has finally arrived. It remains exciting for me until the last second (!) Whom the prince chooses. Is it the seductive sexy Scott or the True Jakop? Although it seemed like a won race for Jakop in the last few episodes, Scott suddenly seems to be catching up.

Red Flag

And it’s all because of the advice of the prince’s friends and family. Because there is a job interview on the program. Both gentlemen are allowed to make video calls with the loved ones of Prince Chris. While the Limburg mother Hanny and sister Esther ask whether the potential in-laws can withstand his loss (because it is so handy during the Monopoly games at Christmas), the balloting with friends Joshua and Francien is a lot heavier. They ultimately choose Jakop physically, but he still gets the famous red flag.

During the first romantic 24-hour date, it is mainly Scott who is physically liked by Prince Charming. The men are kissing so violently from minute one that I think for a moment that they are being blown over by the hot air balloon. Once in the air the view will be the worst, they clearly only have eyes for each other. I didn’t count the number of kisses on the date – I gave up somewhere at number 647 – but Scott is clearly the winner on this part. It’s probably because he keeps his lips wet, so you know I’m going to try that from now on. Once arrived in the hotel room, the gentlemen immediately take a bath. And the only thing we want to hear at breakfast is whether it also stopped with kissing in bed…

spoon spoon

There is no time for an honest answer, because the next finalist is already ready with his trolley for the next date. Jakop likes to have an active activity. The action on the sailboat is ultimately hard to find as there is no wind. But that should not spoil the fun. There may be a lot less kissing this time, but more laughing. The men wake up the next morning and the cards are suddenly shuffled again.

Just as my preference (not that it matters, but hey), seems to be Jakop, a few minutes later I suddenly lean back to Scott. Because while one finalist has the prince to himself, the other can call home for a few minutes. During the production – long live the pandemic – they clearly also discovered video calling. Scott gets the golden tip from his family: “Maybe you should do another fire show”, well those are exactly ‘the cat in the corner’ that we as viewers have been waiting for weeks! So I would immediately choose Scott, especially for the humor in this in-laws.

Plottwist

In the evening, the very last ceremony takes place where Marvin, last year’s prince, has been proposed to a few weeks earlier. So that’s promising. Just like I can’t take it anymore – gosh how can Chris remember all these lyrics at such a slow pace?! -, he reveals that he does not follow the advice of others, but listens to his own heart. So it’s Jack! Yet the True Jakop! Scott is defeated and then also has to hand in his tie. With Jakop there is literally a bow around it. The men fall into each other’s arms and don’t seem to understand it yet. That awkward last shot that they drive off together in that old-timer was not necessary for me, by the way. But the prince chose with his heart and they live happily ever after… Or do they?

No, not at all! What a drama! Next week’s reunion promises to reveal a bizarre plot twist after the finale. I know, I’ve been kicked a thousand times before in this damn teaser at the end of every episode. But this time it’s about words and not about an edited fragment. The prince literally says: “When the two men I like best go home together… That is of course super painful.” Unfortunately, the prince and Jakop don’t seem to be together anymore, but when the two competitors suddenly fall for each other, I go crazy. Then the prince may have followed his heart, but it ended up being broken in the most painful way.”
