Microsoft today announced that co-founder Bill Gates has stepped down from the company’s board of directors to devote more time to its philanthropic projects, including global health, development, education, and its increasing commitment to tackling climate change. He will continue to serve as technology advisor to CEO Satya Nadella and other company executives, Microsoft said. Already on June 27, 2008 Gates ended his daily work in the company to have more time for his work at the “Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation”. He worked until February 4, 2014 as CEO of Microsoft.
