The Orlando Magic played a nasty trick on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday afternoon, winning the first game of the NBA series by a score of 122-110.
In the loss, Antetokounmpo nevertheless managed 31 points in addition to recovering 17 rebounds. Recall that the Bucks are favorites in the Eastern Conference while the Magic is the eighth seed.
Nikola Vucevic was the great offensive hero for the Magic, who collected 35 points. He notably put in five three-point baskets in eight attempts.
The next game in this series is Thursday as the Toronto Raptors, ahead 1-0 in their showdown against the Brooklyn Nets, will be in action this Wednesday afternoon.
Elsewhere in the NBA
The Houston Rockets won Game 1 of their series against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a score of 123-108.
This very even duel on paper – both teams have shown 44-28 records this season – has been a little less on the floor. James Harden led the Rockets with a 37-point, 11-rebound double-double.
In the Thunder, Danilo Gallinari and Chris Paul both collected over 20 points.
In another duel, the Miami Heat had the best over the Indiana Pacers 113 to 101. Jimmy Butler notably scored 28 points while Goran Dragic produced 24.
