They were important supporters of the previous US president. Trump’s personal adviser Kellyanne Conway, press spokesman Sean Spicer and National Security Coordinator Herbert McMaster. They still have public functions. Current President Biden wants them fired.
They don’t even think about going out on their own. “President Biden, I’m not stepping down. But you should,” Kellyanne Conway tweeted.

In an accompanying letter, she writes that she understands that Biden is trying to divert attention from the crises he has caused himself, such as the “rising corona infections, disappointing employment figures and the chaotic and deadly retreat from Afghanistan”.

Former press spokesman Sean Spicer says Biden should pay more attention to the “Americans left by him in Afghanistan.” He says he will go to court to prevent his dismissal. McMaster has not yet commented publicly.

Incidentally, there are a total of eighteen Trump-appointed employees who have received a letter with an ultimatum; resign or be fired. Some have already indicated that they will not resign. The three we mention are by far the best known.

Conway became known as Trump’s confidant who defended him with fire and sword for years. Until her family nearly died. Her husband and daughter were vehemently against Trump. She eventually resigned as a consultant.

All of them have been appointed to advisory boards of military academies, Army (McMaster, West Point), Air Force (Conway) and Navy (Spicer) in Trump’s last month. The advisory councils supervise all kinds of matters, such as the quality of the training and the social climate at the academies.

Biden wants to get rid of the Trump supporters quickly. Correspondent Erik Mouthaan: “This is striking and it comes across as a political purge. The well-known heads of the Trump administration are being removed from jobs that are not very important, by the way.”

Honorary jobs
Mouthaan continues: “It happens more often that presidents appoint supporters in sort of honorary jobs. This concerns advisory boards of military training institutions. Those people are appointed for three years. It is striking that the White House does not let them finish that period.”

Biden himself, we have not heard about it. His spokesman Jen Psaki has said it is the president’s job to ensure that qualified people work everywhere. Which are in line with the ‘values of this government’.

Erik Mouthaan: “Of course you can say: what does Kellyanne Conway do at a military academy? She has no experience with that. But McMaster, for example, has an enormous track record in the army and is therefore a very logical choice. No Trump ideas
It is common in the US for new presidents to replace the employees of the old ones. “The new president wants people everywhere who embrace his policy. Now in this case it concerns perhaps slightly less important authorities. But make no mistake, discussions about, for example, race relations in the country were also raging at those military training courses. Biden thinks very much about that. about it differently and apparently does not want Trump ideas there,” said Mouthaan.

Trump himself has not commented on the announced resignation of his former employees. The former president, in turn, has been criticized a lot. Many people find it inappropriate that he is going to comment on a boxing match for a fee on Saturday night. September 11 is the day to commemorate the attacks of twenty years ago.
