Biden will attend the COP27 climate summit

Today, Saturday, the White House announced that United States President Joseph Biden will visit Egypt on November 11, to attend the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which Egypt will host in Sharm El Sheikh.

Biden should focus during the summit –According to the White House statement– Ali will talk about the role of the United States to move forward in combating the global climate and helping the most vulnerable to build resilience to the effects of climate, and will highlight the need for the world to work towards the success of efforts to combat climate change. .

The White House statement indicated that Biden would later be expected in Cambodia November 12-13, to attend the annual summit between the United States, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and the East Asian Summit. He will reaffirm the United States’ enduring commitment to Southeast Asia and the centrality of ASEAN, building on the success of the historic US-ASEAN summit in Washington, DC.

Then Biden will visit Indonesia from November 13-16 for the G20 Leaders Summit. He will commend President Widodo’s leadership in the G-20 and highlight the United States’ commitment to this key forum for economic cooperation with countries that account for over 80% of world GDP.
