Changes in tender procedures for sea beaches in our country are foreseen by the Ministry of Tourism. “The bidding procedures for leasing the beaches – exclusive state property, will be conducted through open bidding. It will be done in front of all those present at the auctions. This is the beginning of a reform that is expected by the sector and society. This was said by the Minister of Tourism, Zaritsa Dinkova, during a briefing at the ministry.
Minister Dinkova added that the condition that the offered price be presented in sealed envelopes is no longer required. The presence during the auction of those wishing to rent a given beach will be mandatory.
“Thus, we are taking measures to make the decisions about who will manage the beaches in an even more open and even more transparent way. This way society and Bulgarian citizens will be able to have more peace of mind,” said Minister Dinkova.
“The procedure for submitting documents will be the same, with the difference that the bidding of the prices will be in the presence of all interested parties. Each step in the auction will be up to 10% of the announced price. There must be at least two candidates,” emphasized Vladimir Petrov, director of the Directorate for Concessions, Rental and Regulatory Activities in Tourism.
The tenders for beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are coming up – 10 on the Western Black Sea and 10 on the Southern Black Sea.
