Biathlon World Cup stage in Czech Nova Mesto will be held without spectators due to coronavirus – Biathlon

The seventh stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Czech Nove Mesto will be held without spectators in the stands. The reason was the threat of the spread of coronavirus.

This was announced by Czech Interior Minister Jan Gamacek.

“This is a decision of the state security council, and the organizers of the competition will accept it, they will have to put up with it.

Considering how many people should be present at the event, in my opinion, there was no other alternative, ”quoted TAM Gamachek as saying with reference to the Czech STK agency.

It was previously reported that the stage can be canceled or postponed, since in the Czech Republic three cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus were recorded.

Competitions in Nove Mesto will be held from March 5 to 8. According to statistics, this is the most visited stage of the World Cup.
