Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – WhatsApp can block a user’s account at any time. Apart from using unofficial applications or Modified WhatsApp (WA Mod), blocking can be done because users send messages that are prohibited on the platform.
One of the restrictions is sending copyrighted messages. In WhatsApp’s policy, users cannot send movies or songs in file formats to other users.
WhatsApp will immediately block the user’s account if someone violates these conditions. Account closure is temporary to permanent.
In addition to sending messages with copyrighted content, users are also prohibited from using racist and abusive vocabulary. Users are not allowed to send chats containing these words with other users.
Users can report other users if they are detected violating WhatsApp terms. So companies can detect users who use racist words, send prohibited content or images that are objectionable.
For this violation, the banned user account cannot be revoked. This means that the account will be closed forever after being caught violating these conditions.
If you still want to use WhatsApp after being blocked the only way is to create another account. However, the new account must use a different mobile number than before.
Another type of message that is forbidden to send via Whatsapp is spam messages, which are sending the same message repeatedly to many users for marketing activities to fraud.
If too many messages are sent, Whatsapp will give a warning and temporarily block the account.
For spam message violations, users can still request a review via email or on the Whatsapp application.
In the Whatsapp application, the temporarily blocked account owner can select the “ask for review” option. Whatsapp will then send a 6-digit code via SMS.
Users can then write the review request arguments to Whatsapp. After the review process is complete, Whatsapp will contact the account owner.
