MANADOPOST.ID–The Covid-19 XE variant which is a combination of the Omicron BA.1 and BA.2 subvariants is being studied by the World Health Organization (WHO), to determine its severity. England became the first country to appear this variant. British researchers also revealed various symptoms reported by 637 cases of the XE variant there.
The official list of Covid-19 symptoms has been expanded to include nine new symptoms. The nine new symptoms of Covid-19 are similar to cold and flu symptoms, even to indigestion. Anything?
“These include shortness of breath, feeling tired or tired, body aches, headaches, sore throat, stuffy or runny nose, loss of appetite, diarrhea and feeling nauseous or sick (stomach),” said Professor Tim from ZOE Covid UK. Spector as reported by Hello, Friday (8/4).
“The UK’s official NHS (National Health Centre) main symptoms changed after 2 years. The NHS is finally acknowledging that there are more symptoms, hopefully now people realize this is helping bring the Covid-19 number down from record highs,” he added.
The addition of the 9 new Covid symptoms comes as the UK currently has the highest number of Covid-19 cases ever, according to the Office for National Statistics.
The UK currently has the highest record number of Covid-19 cases. A reported 4.9 million people in the UK were infected with Covid-19 over the weekend, with hospital admissions of people with Covid-19 the highest since February 2021.
The World Health Organization says the new variant could be more infectious. It is not known whether the Covid-19 vaccine is effective against Omicron XE.
