Like the day before noticed user X_AZEEZ3 from X (formerly Twitter), after each crash the PC version of Mortal Kombat 1 creates a bug report. This is common, but for some reason their size ranges from 1 to 1.8 GB.

Unsuspecting users, whose Mortal Kombat 1 had the misfortune of crashing more than once or twice, inevitably collect these reports, which literally devour free disk space.

In the comments to the post X_AZEEZ3 found a user who, after 152 hours of playing Mortal Kombat 1, has a folder size with crash reports of 41.6 GB. Another gamer has a folder occupied 64 GB.

Steam users sounded the alarm back at the end of September, and before mass media information about the problem only came after X_AZEEZ3’s tweet. The good news is that Warner Bros. Games now aware of the situation and have already started studying it.

While waiting for a patch to fix the problem, players can delete voluminous crash reports manually. They are located at: “C:\Users\[имя пользователя]\AppData\Local\MK12\Saved\Steam\Crashes».

Mortal Kombat 1 was released on September 19 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. Omni-Man from the Unbreakable comics will be available throughout November as part of the paid Kombat Pack 1.
