Beta starts next week; Collector’s Edition announced; Release in the fall

At the “Shadowlands Developer Update” Blizzard Entertainment announced that the closed beta test of World of WarCraft: Shadowlands will start in the next week. The eighth expansion for World of WarCraft will then appear later in “Fall 2020”. The developers did not want to postpone a specific release date.

In addition, the physical Collector’s Edition has been announced for 119.99 euros. The Collector’s Edition is currently available from Amazon, for example. The Collector’s Edition includes the contents of the digital “Epic Edition” (incl. 30 days of playing time), four collection pins of the packages, the book volume “The Art of the Shadow Lands”, the mouse pad “Torn Sky” and a download key for the digital soundtrack.

The Epic Edition includes the Enchanted Eternal Wyrm mount, the Animawyrmling pet, the Eternal Traveler’s Hearthstone, the cosmetic weapon effect Illusion: Ghost Frost, and a character upgrade to the initial level of Shadowlands. Those who have already bought a digital version of Shadowlands and still want to buy the physical Collector’s Edition should receive the corresponding Blizzard credit (details can be found here).
