A third poll on March 2

Some 116,048 Likud members could take part in this primary. Another difficulty on the way to Netanyahu, who has led Likud for 14 years, after his triple indictment in November and the failure of his two attempts to form a government following the legislative elections in April and September. Its centrist opponent, Benny Gantz, also failed to form a coalition government, plunging Israel into a political deadlock and necessitating a third ballot on March 2.

Benjamin Netanyahu denounces the legal proceedings against him, saying that it is a witch hunt orchestrated by the media and the Israeli left.
