Sílvio Cervan guarantees that the report will be delivered to the club’s governing bodies as well as the Public Prosecutor’s Office
Benfica’s vice-president, Sílvio Cervan, announced that “no situation was identified in which SAD was harmed by any of its representatives” in the forensic audit. During the club’s General Assembly, the director revealed the next step. “But SAD took the initiative to deliver the final report of the forensic audit both to Benfica’s corporate bodies and to the Public Ministry”, he stressed. Sílvio Cervan stressed that “the wording of the final report, although embryonic, is determined” and that “the deadline requested by the president of Benfica will be met.” So he pointed to dates. “Next week we will have the final reports”, he assured. Furthermore, the leader listed what was analyzed. “To get a sense of the scale of what was going on, 611 contracts, 2,349 pay slips, 5,526 accounting records, 260 partial conclusions, 119 commissions were analyzed and 735 statistics and 5,174 pieces of evidence were requested. This is to understand the scale of the conclusion that’s coming”, he maintained.
Still, Cervan left a repair. “There was a very large set of mechanisms that could and should be improved,” he recalled.
