Benefit concert of the Kiwanis Club Tauberbischofsheim: Salsa fever in Frankenbad

In the Frankenbad in Tauberbischofsheim, the salsa fever with the international band “Salsamania” with their own compositions and well-known Latin American music styles created a relaxed atmosphere at the benefit concert of the Kiwanis Club Tauberbischofsheim. The proceeds from the event benefit the outpatient children’s and youth hospice service in the Main-Tauber district.

Kiwanis President Tanja Lohmeyer was happy about the numerous guests in the Frankenbad in Tauberbischofsheim. She briefly presented the charity project of the outpatient children’s and hospice service of the Main-Tauber district, which is financed exclusively by donations. An information stand was set up at the event for this purpose.

After the welcome, the almost three-hour rousing concert began, the music of which literally got into your blood. The first piece of “Salsamania” was the original instrumental composition “No comments” by the band founder Eva Tilly. We continued with the salsa classic “Amor artificial”, which was excellently received by the concert visitors with the singer Rey Valencia from Chile, who lives in Kassel, and the singer Mireya Coba Cantero from Cuba, who lives in Würzburg.

Latino music fans danced in front of the stage

One of the pieces was particularly heartfelt, “De corazón”, also an original composition by Eva Tilly, who creates her songs with a great deal of passion. One of Salsamania’s favorite pieces is the song “Ahora si” (Yes, now) and the piece could not have been more appropriate, because it literally broke the ice and the first enthusiastic fans of Latino music began to dance in front of the stage. There was no sitting still, because the rousing Cuban and Latin American rhythm went straight into the blood and the passion for dancing aroused the “salsa fever” among the enthusiastic concert-goers without prior notice.

An unforgettable summer evening in the heart of the city

“Salsamania” had brought a “Bomba” (bomb) with them from Puerto Rico and the piece “That’s ok” was enthusiastically received by the audience. The charming Cuban and singer Mireya Coba Cantero, who lives in Würzburg, said that the band was a fun bunch and that was particularly noticeable in the interpretation of the excellently played pieces. Whether original compositions or classics – everything was well received by the audience. The music literally went into the ears and into the legs and that without exception from the beginning to the last minute of the concert, which was an unforgettable summer evening in the heart of the city for the visitors. Of course, “Salsamania” was not allowed to leave the stage without an encore. The three hours flew by.
