With the 14th benefit concert for “Echo Help!”, TSG Wixhausen’s Wind Symphony Orchestra finally returns to the Darmstadt State Theater. In times when war, aggression against other groups and demarcation are the order of the day, conductor Rainer Laumann wants to lead by example with his orchestra and show that music only works together. This year’s program consists of works in the creation of which people from different nations have been involved in one way or another.

In addition to “Ukrainian Rhapsody” by Franco Cesarini, “Second Suite in F” and “Between the Two Rivers” by Gustav Holst, who plays and varies a Lutheran choir, two film soundtracks are also on the program. On the one hand “How to Train Your Dragon”, a medley of the animated film “How to Train Your Dragon” and a “Great suite on Winnetou”, whose novels are currently the subject of much discussion.

In addition, the musicians are happy to welcome a well-known soloist again. Eberhard Stockinger, tuba player of the Darmstadt State Orchestra since 1979 and teacher of the Academy of Music since 1992, presents the “Concertino for Tuba and Band” with the Wixhäusler.
