DOKKUM – Pastor Paul Verheijen died on Saturday at the age of 72. His church community Pax Christi parish Burgum-Dokkum announced this on Sunday. Since 1996 he has served the Roman Catholic Pax Christi parish in Dokkum with great commitment.
Paul Verheijen, born in Zwolle, took over from pastor Herman Peters in 1996. His long tenure in Boniface City made him a familiar and respected face within the community.
It appears there has been a wolf attack in Jubbega, killing six sheep and injuring five others.
