On May 15, Belavia announced a change in the rules for carrying hand luggage. Conditions have been tightened. From now on, bags and goods and Duty free will have to be packed in hand luggage, and not carried additionally, as was allowed before.
At the same time, passengers were allowed to carry suitcases in the cabin if there is no hand luggage at all.
Also, blue and green tags will be glued on the day. Passengers will receive them at check-in or at the boarding gate.
blue tag will mean that it is a suitcase on wheels or a large bag. For such baggage, a weight of no more than 10 kg will be allowed, dimensions should not exceed the parameters of 55x40x25cm. Such luggage will be allowed to be placed on the overhead luggage racks in aircraft cabins.
hand luggage with green tag These are backpacks and handbags. The weight norm for such will be 5 kg, and the dimensions are 40x30x10 cm. Such hand luggage will be placed under the seat in front of the chair.
“The changes are related not only to international requirements for ensuring safety on board. They are also introduced for the comfort of the passengers themselves: marking hand luggage will allow you to optimally distribute things in the cabin and not overload the luggage racks,” Belavia says.
