Bein sports still owes 35 million euros in TV rights

The TV rights case is still far from over. After refusing to pay the bill by terminating their contract with the LFP, Canal Plus and BeIN Sports had finally paid part of the amount due thanks to tough negotiations led by some presidents of Ligue 1. The encrypted channel finally made a check for € 37 million out of the 43 promised and the Qatari channel put € 10.6 million out of the € 15 million initially planned.

Tonight, the team ensures this evening that BeIN Sports still has to settle the second part of international rights, ie € 35 million. This sum should have been paid on April 30, but the money never actually left. Negotiations are underway and the League hopes to recover at least € 16 million, the part of the € 35 million representing matches already played.
