Beau van Erven Dorens stands up for Buddy Vedder after criticism

After years of making children’s programs like The Kids Top 20 in The Junior Song Contest, the well-known game show is the first adult series that Buddy takes on. Although the ratings are now hovering around a low of 100,000, Beau thinks Buddy is doing his very best.

In a video by The Telegraph he replies when asked what he thinks of his successor: “I have seen it twice and what strikes me is that it is a very cheerful pear. He is very optimistic and cheerful. And that game, that is still very exciting.”

And that the viewer does not (yet) know where to find the program? That’s the way things work, according to Beau. “I did it a hundred years ago and give that boy his chance,” he continues. “He does it with a lot of fervor and that it doesn’t work right now … you have to give him time.”
