Bbox Ultym: higher speeds, Wi-Fi modem 6 and higher prices

More speed, a Wi-Fi 6 modem for all but rising prices, these are the changes brought by Bouygues Telecom to its Bbox Ultym fiber offer.

Small changes in the Bbox Ultym fiber offer at Bouygues Telecom: the maximum achievable theoretical speeds have been revised upwards and it is now possible to subscribe to this subscription with the new Wi-Fi modem 6 via any channel (and no longer just by phone).

From now on, the speeds offered with this Bbox Ultym can therefore reach 2 Gb / s for downloads and 600 Mb / s for uploads (instead of 1 Gb / s and 500 Mb / s). On paper, this remains lower than the 5 Gb / s and 700 Mb / s provided by the new Freebox Pop de Free. But, as we explained, Bbox Ultym customers will have a Wi-Fi 6 router (802.11 ax), while Freebox Pop remains blocked to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 ac) – but with access to repeaters Dual band Wi-Fi.

Beyond the match of the numbers, note that nothing else changes on the side of the other terms of the offer. The subscription to the Bbox Ultym always includes press access (Cafeyn), calls (to landlines and mobiles) as well as a bonus of your choice (Canal + Series, 4G key, youth channels or Playzer).

However, the price is not kept the same. Indeed, while the Bbox Ultym subscription was € 41.99 (€ 24.99 the first year) with one year of commitment, it rose to € 45.99 per month (€ 27.99 the first year ).
