/ Munich (dpa) – According to a media report, Bayern professional Niklas Süle is toying with a move from Munich to the English Premier League.
The talks between the national soccer player and the German record champions are currently stalling, wrote the “kicker”. The 26-year-old central defender is said to be “aggressively offered on the market”, including at Newcastle United. There is a “tendency to leave Munich” at Süle.
According to the “Bild”, Bayern made an offer to Süle before his corona illness, the talks are currently on hold. The defender, who was infected with the virus a week ago and had to be quarantined, said in a conversation with the club bosses that he was willing to extend his contract, including the first salary. At Bayern, however, they do not believe that an English club pays significantly more and see good chances of an extension. Süle’s contract with the Bundesliga leaders runs until the end of June 2022.
